Abstract
The Sheridan Libraries of the Johns Hopkins University redesigned its web site in 2004 as part of its transition to a database-driven site controlled by a content management system. While most organizations today perform usability testing to determine the look and feel of their site, at the Sheridan Libraries we used usability testing to drive each step of the process from the very beginning. This presentation from the Internet Librarian Conference focuses on challenges we faced during the process, the strategies we employed to meet these challenges, how well the strategies worked, and what we learned from the experience
