Clinical and animal models for subcutaneous injections can be expensive and inaccurate. In vitro models offer a more convenient and inexpensive way to test for drug bioavailability after administration. Subcutaneous Injection Site Simulator (SCISSOR) is an in vitro model designed to mimic subcutaneous injection, specifically determining the bioavailability of a drug substance. This thesis reviews the SCISSOR device. Further results from this study are not available.
